You can read the articles and use the checklist without optional storage. Policy date: October 21, 2026.

Your choices
Accept optional enables reading-position memory in this browser. Reject optional leaves it off. Settings lets you select the feature individually. Closing the settings panel without saving does not grant permission. Missing, expired or malformed choices leave optional behavior off.
Storage inventory
Change or withdraw
A saved choice replaces the previous one and may last up to 180 days, subject to browser removal. Rejecting optional storage stops future reading-position writes and attempts to remove its saved record. If the browser prevents storage, the controls report that limitation and optional behavior stays off.
Optional reading records are limited to 30 entries on each write. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read and removed on a later permitted write. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Unused localStorage can remain until a later write, rejection or browser removal. The checklist does not use this storage.
Scope and no-script use
These settings control this publication’s reading feature, not every hosting technology or another website. They do not control WordPress administrator authentication. Without JavaScript, optional reading memory does not run; settings links lead to this policy. Previously saved data can be removed through the browser’s site-data controls.
